Individual PsychoTherapy
At Embody Space, we offer individual therapy for people navigating a range of mental health challenges, including body image concerns, eating disorders, anxiety, and emotional wellbeing. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access support, whether you are struggling with a specific issue or simply want to improve your mental health, you are welcome here.
Our individual therapy sessions are tailored to your unique needs, integrating talk-based and body-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting change. Therapy can support you to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, while also developing practical skills for managing daily life, self-care, and relationships.
Sessions are available both in-person in Ocean Grove (Wednesdays only) and online, providing flexible and accessible mental health support. We are not currently accepting NDIS referrals.
Interoceptive Therapy & Somatic Psychotherapy
At Embody Space, our interoceptive therapy and somatic psychotherapy sessions are grounded in an Occupational Therapy framework, supporting the connection between body awareness, emotional regulation, and everyday functioning. We integrate evidence-informed, body-based approaches including Somatic Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Somatic Experiencing.
These approaches support the development of interoceptive awareness, the ability to recognise and respond to internal body signals such as hunger, fullness, and emotional states. This work is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing body image concerns, eating disorders, and disordered eating, where connection to the body and internal cues may feel disrupted.
Through interoceptive and body-based therapy, clients can improve nervous system regulation, rebuild trust in their bodies, and develop sustainable self-care practices.
Now is the time to take the next step.
Embody Space can help you:
Find food freedom and learn how to notice your body’s cues, including what it needs for both nourishment and pleasure
Develop a relationship with movement that is centered on care and enjoyment
Live in alignment with your values
Attune to your bodies needs by learning how to become embodied
Understand your own personal experiences and how they have shaped who you are

Interoceptive Therapy & Somatic Psychotherapy
Embody Space offers holistic body based therapy sessions that utilise a range of approaches: Somatic Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing. Individuals may choose to engage in this type of therapy to complement their talking therapy sessions. Approaching healing from both a psychological and body based approach can help people find connection to all parts of the self.
Interoceptive therapy is a form of therapeutic intervention that focuses on increasing one's awareness and understanding of internal bodily sensations. This approach is rooted in the idea that bodily sensations, such as heartbeat, breathing, and muscle tension, play a significant role in emotions and overall well-being. By paying attention to these sensations, individuals can develop a deeper connection with their bodies and gain insight into the ways their emotions and stress manifest physically.
Somatic psychotherapy is an approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes the integration of the mind and body in the therapeutic process. The term "somatic" refers to the body, and this form of therapy recognizes the importance of the body in understanding and healing psychological issues. Somatic psychotherapy acknowledges the interconnectedness of physical sensations, emotions, thoughts, and behaviour.
